Love Music Trust Saxophone Orchestra Jamie Sharp conductor

The Love Music Trust Saxophone Orchestra was established in 2012 by Andy Scott, James Cummings and Tracey Martin. The ensemble comprises of up to 20 students between the ages of 11-18 from the Cheshire area, all brought together due to their passion for learning music playing the Saxophone. In 2013 they were fortunate enough to perform a spotlight performance at the Royal Northern College of Music's Annual Saxophone Day, led by Rob Buckland and Andy Scott. Jamie Sharp, a recent Saxophone graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music took over the leadership of this ensemble in 2015. Since then they have been involved in multiple performances, a CD recording and their first Tour to the European Saxophone Congress held in Porto, July 2017. Over the past 18 months, the young ensemble has established commissions from a number of composers including Barbara Thompson, Charlotte Harding and Andy Scott and will be recording them for a CD dedicated to their new commissions in early 2018. Since the groups conception 5 years ago, it has provided for over 50 musicians, many of which have moved through into conservatoires across the UK.
